20th November 2006
Follow us into
our place of cherished memories where we remember much loved and special pets
now gone but never forgotten.
Sleep well
everyone.

* Jenny Mayhew
* 1992 to 2006 *
As we have to
write this, we can't stop the tears....Jenny, how we have
dreaded this moment.
You were almost
human - so wise and totally unique...there could never be another to take your
place.
The very last of the line from Suki - not purposely, circumstances just dictated
it that way and our loss is doubly great.
Those who met
Jenny were never quite the same.....
Goodbye
sweetheart - we will never, ever forget you.

* Barney Mayhew-Grice
* 1992 to 2006 *
Life can
sometimes be so very hard to deal with, especially when so many dear oldies are
ready to leave...
We shed a
silent tear and say a final goodbye to Barney, an absolutely beautiful boy, who
has had the most fabulous life
living with our dear friends Ray & Janet Grice who not only gave him
the very best of everything but gave him the love & care that every lucky
dog truly deserves.
Barney was
arguably, technically the best dog bred here by Chris and was a lesson in
construction, Chris always maintained he was better than Thomas
(who made life so very difficult for Barney when he was still here at Sandwick!)
but most of all, he was such a wonderful boy with a gentle manner
and he will be so very sorely missed at Janaray where he had a much calmer
life without his sire, Thomas, bullying him.
Thank you Ray
& Janet, for everything - nobody could have loved & cared for Barney
more than you both.
Sleep well
Barney...

Dedicated to
our beautiful & precious Mink...

* Mink Mayhew
* 1992 to 2006 *
We are
devastated & it is so painful to have to place our beautiful girl in our
memory page..
Mink suffered a stroke on the 15th May, the severity was such that there were no
options but the inevitable..
Always the
strong, silent type, ruled the pack as alpha bitch since deposing her
Grandmother Damask many, many years ago.
A truly stunning showgirl, she gave her all in the show ring winning well for
Chris in her youth and then taking her title at an amazing 8 years of age.
Just to sit and watch her gave us pleasure & she will be missed so very,
very much.
Sleep well
darling..

The 18th August
2005 brought such terrible sadness and tragic loss to Sandwick...

* Tasha Mayhew
* 1989 to
2005 *
It hardly seems
real.....the time came on the morning of Thursday 18th August to say goodbye to
a most precious girl after 16 years & 2 months..
Tasha, my brave
little girl....always at our side through life's ups & downs. Self
appointed guardian to all of the children,
special & faithful friend through times of happiness & sorrow, best
friend to Thomas (Wild Ways) - now reunited....
What an empty
space there is left by you. Sleep
well precious little lady until we meet again....

& then, just
when the heartache was unbearable enough...

* Misty
Stanley-Mayhew
* 2002 to 2005 *
Misty had been
missing since the 1st August and we had searched in vain for any sightings or
news...
...on the evening of 18th came the time we had been dreading..
2 local
children knocked on the door and said that they had found a cat's body in the
lane..
Chris went to see and our worst nightmare & fears were confirmed - there lay
Misty's battered & broken remains...
she had been obviously been dead for the duration of the time that she had been
missing...
Misty was only
3 years old & her time with us so very short.
A beautiful and
very affectionate little girl - she is now buried alongside Tasha in the
beautiful garden at Tegwel under the cherry tree.
Sometimes life
is just so hard and the pain of separation almost unbearable but we remember our
precious girls with fond memories
and know that in time, the pain of loss will fade and only happiness in what joy
they both brought to us will remain.
Sleep well
girls...

*
Pandora Hurran * 2003 to 2005 *
Tragically
taken from Tony & Beth at such a tender age after being hit by a car.
Cleo now benefits from the double love that Tony & Beth have lavished on the
girls
Thank you both
for giving Pandora the best life possible - she couldn't have had better

* Pepsi Brown *
1997 to 2005 *
A sad call from
Judy to say that her beloved Pepsi passed away suffering from pneumonia.
We thank Judy & Martin for keeping us part of Pepsi's life and it was always
clear that
she was a pretty, intelligent & happy girl and such a well loved
family member.
Our heartfelt
gratitude to Judy & family for loving her so much.

* Jacko
Bolgnes * 1992
to 2004 *
Sad news from
Norway that International & Nordic Champion Sandwick Jack The Lad has been given
sleep to save further suffering.
Jacko had been ill for a while but was
not getting any better so the final decision had to be made for him.
We
send our commiserations but with our sincerest thanks to Hanne, Morten &
Brit-Uni and Jacko's host family
for giving him such a wonderful life and for campaigning
him to such high honours. Thank you all for loving him so much
and for
making the right decision when his time came - sleep well Jacko.

* Judo
Langer * 1988
to 2003 *
We once again
thank Ursula for giving Judo the best life possible with her and for making the
right decision when the time came for him to leave.
We are grateful
to have the only daughter of his (& Sam's granddaughter) in the UK (Unique
of Silver Shadow at Sandwick)
and hopefully through her, he lives on as his
memory will. With Sam now - sleep well boys.

* Thomas
Mayhew * 1989
to 2003 *
Just
what can we say but goodbye.....
Thomas,
thank you so much for everything you were and everything
you achieved.
We miss you so
much......our special boy.

&
my very, very special girl

*
Mitzi Gregory-Mayhew * 1986
to 2003 *
Thank
you Mitzi for being part of my life for so long....you
cost nothing but were truly priceless.
Visit Mitzi's
very own page here...

* Sam Langer *
1985
to 2002 *
It is with deep, deep sadness
that we learned of the inevitable death of Sam on the 27th March 2002 just short of his 17th birthday.
We send our sympathy to Ursula and her father but also extend our thanks to them
for giving Sam the best possible life any dog could have wished for.
His
influence on the breed in Europe has been immense and of that we are justifiably proud; a
successful showman (winning 19 CACIB's),
superb stud (the sire of 20 Champions)
but most of all, he was a much loved family
member and that is the most important job for any dog.
He will be deeply
missed at Silver-Shadow, sleep well Sam.

* Jake
Rodwell *
Loved & greatly missed by Kath

* Lucy
Mayhew * 1986 to 2001 *
Lucy, our old special friend - there
is still a space in our lives and a place in our hearts

*
Megan Armstrong * 1998 to 2001
*
Tragically
killed by a car...very much loved & missed by Sid & Christine

* Penny
Cooper *
Suki's daughter - loved and greatly
missed

* Suki
Mayhew *
1983 to 1995 *
Where it all
began. Time passes but you are not forgotten
Suki - sleep well old girl
