I welcome you to share my memories of a very special little feline lady

(aka Mitz, Mitzi-Mog, Bin-Bag)

1986 - 2003

Mitzi was a very special cat - born in someone's shed from a semi feral mother.  One of a litter of 4, the only female
and the only black & white amongst the litter of blacks,  I asked for her to give to my Gran, whom I lived with at that time
as a present as I was to leave to go to college.  I wanted Gran to have some company so she wouldn't
be lonely but things didn't quite go as expected...

The initial surprise was met with shrieks of "take her away!"  Needless to say, that lasted about 5 minutes and the
12 week old Mitzi had found herself a home!  Gran & Mitzi were bonded forever and they shared everything (including meals-on-wheels!)

15 years later - Gran died and Mitzi came to live with us here in Shropshire.  Despite the worry that she would find it hard to adjust,
Mitzi settled really well and after 2 days of sadness - she decided that she would go and investigate her new home.

She had a renewed start and developed her hunting skills to a new level.  Thursdays were her favourite
when it was bin day and Mitzi would always make an early start and work her way systematically up the street
in a zig-zag sort of way until she had raided every bag in the street then bring all her prizes home....
underneath the window always looked like an elephants graveyard!

2 happy years were spent with us before Mitzi's time came for her to leave us.
Such a desperate time for me as she was the last link I had to my beloved Gran and I found losing her one of the most traumatic
times of my life - like losing Gran all over again.  It was a chapter of my life closing forever and things would never be the same again.

This page is dedicated to a special angel who loyally looked after Gran for 15 years and still gave her all to us for her last 2.

Goodbye Mitzi and thank you.
